Testing the Blogger Android app

Umm, ok.

6:20 With 1% reporting in IN. Dan Coats is kicking Brad Ellsworth's ass 55% to 40%. Not a very good start to the night.

A few things I will be watching tonight. Overall, I will be looking to see how the "Tea Party" does tonight. I am sure they will win several races, but it seems over the last 2 weeks the wheels have started to fall off of the crazy bus.

Alaska: Joe Miller has unofficially lost the support of the national GOP.

Nevada: Harry Reid vs. Sharon Angle has really tightened up over the last week.

Overall voter enthusiasm. The word on the street is Progressives will be staying home because they are pissed at Obama for not getting some stuff done (I will visit this topic at a later time).

Will the GOP take over the House as is expected? Can the Dems hold onto the Senate? Do pollsters know what the fuck they are talking about?

Be back soon

7:00 Rand Paul projected winner by NBC news. Dan Coats (Evan Bayh seat) projected winner in IN by NBC news. +1 for GOP.

Evan Bayh is a big douche. He kept his assload of money in his war chest. He did not give any substantial amount of money to any other DEM candidate. Now he going to go on TV and bash the Dems about not being able to hold on to their Senate seats.

Mike Pence and Dan Burton of Indiana will be back. No surprise. Here in Indiana we like to vote for ass holes.

7:17 I think I may need to get some adult beverages. This is going to be a long night.

7:19 Exit polling embarrassment = 45% of Indiana voters support the Tea Party. I am so ashamed.

7:30(ish) DNC chairman trying to convince the masses the Dems may hold on to the House. I will try to convince the masses that I have something interesting to say. Something to keep in mind, pollsters do not call cellphones. Cool, hip, young, left leaning people tend to use cell phones.

Pizza break...

8:23 Ding dong the witch is dead...Coons declared winner in Delaware.

Blumenthal wins in Connecticut. See you later Chris Dodd. You will not be missed. You wrote a joke of a Wall Street reform bill. It is an improvement over what we had, but could have been much much better. Why would you cater to Wall Street interests if you are not going to run for re-election? You had nothing to lose. You are a fucking coward.

Arkansas polls getting ready to close. That is the last of Arkansas I will be mentioning.

8:32 Waiting for the polls in Wisconsin to close.

8:46 Odd thing for the night...People voted for Alvin Greene.

8:50 10 minutes until Wisconsin polls close.

9:08 Rand Paul victory speech. Seems like a good time to take a shit. Rand Paul wants me to deliberate about a lot of things. I can't help but be reminded that 6 years is a long time. Larry O'Donnell just scared the shit out of me. Good thing I was already in the bathroom. Rand Paul now has the power to wreck the world financial markets.

9:30 Rand Paul followed by Marco Rubio. Oh Joy.

9:39 Christine O'Donnell claims she has changed the political landscape with her loss. She lost by almost 20% I guess math is not her thing. She was picked to be Lil' Palin. She succeeded. They both lost badly.

10:09 Nevada polls have closed. It is showtime. I have now cracked open the first of many Honey Browns. If I start typing gibberish let me know. Michelle Bachmann being interviewed by Chris Matthews. This should lead to some all out craziness. In case you don't know she is one crazy crazy person. She would be amusing if she wasn't in charge of shit.

10:29 Sestak holding on to a 4.5% lead in Pennsylvania. If he holds the Philly suburbs he has a chance. This is slightly exciting. I have mini wood.

10:31 Tea party wins so far 14. Tea party losses so far 25. Not really a movement. Sarah Palin endorsed candidates 2 of 5. No wonder GOP big shots secretly want her to shut the fuck up.

10:48 Big thanks to Russ Feingold, He was one of the good guys. Did NOT vote for the Patriot act. Did NOT vote for the war in Iraq. Did NOT vote to bail out the banks. Feingold losing makes me a little scared as to where we are going as a country. I guess actually having principles does not get you reelected.

10:52 Looks like the Dems are getting their asses handed to them in the house. Minimizing losses in the Senate. I guess that is better than some were predicting.

11:22 Carl Paladino "I joined the tea party for the same reason I joined the Army, I love America." I find that odd. It seems to me the Tea Party loves corporate America much more that it loves Americans.

11:33 Still waiting on any news from Nevada. It is really the climax of the night. Any day now.

11:39 Reid 52 Angle 43. Mostly big city votes so far. This one should tighten up as more rural areas start to report. I hate the fact that I have to sit here and root for Harry Reid to win. This guy has been a disaster as a Majority Leader.

11:46 John Boener (for some reason it is not pronounced "boner") is now fucking crying. What a fucking pussy. Get back in the tanning bed you fucking ass hole. John Boener has been in Washington for 20+ years, yet complains that Washington is out of touch. News flash: You are part of Washington you fucking moron! Enjoy bringing our country down.

11:52 Reid 52% Angle 44% Karl Rove really spent a lot of money in Nevada. Makes me feel a little better that Karl Rove wasted a lot of money. Still a lot of rural vote to come in, Angle should make this a lot closer.

12:22 Word on the street...Prop 19 has failed in Cali. No recreational weed for west coast peeps.

12:23 Sestak concedes Pennsylvania race. Why did the news air Paladino's concession speech, but did not air Feingold's concession speech? I guess it is more important to air the ramblings of a crazy fucktard, than the classy remarks of a really fucking good senator.

12:30 Just an observation. The tea party has not won a Senate seat yet.

12:35 I would like to take a moment to say I am sorry to all gay Americans. The GOP control in the House pretty much sets back gay equality for quite a while.

12:37 Harry Reid defeats Sharon Angle. Take that crazy bitch! Once again I need to repeat, it feels odd to be rooting for Harry Reid. Politics make for odd occurrences. I guess being a racist in Nevada doesn't work out to well for a candidate for Senate.

12:44 Jerry Brown wins in Cali. I wonder if Meg Whitman will hire her illegal immigrant housekeeper back? Or has she already had her deported?

12:47 It looks like the GOP will only have gained 2, I repeat 2 elected officials to statewide office.

1:01 25 "blue dog" democrats lost. Maybe they will learn that if you call yourself a Democrat, but vote like a Republican, there is a really good chance the will bounce your ass out of town.

Election 2010
Those that know me are quite aware that I am politically involved. Some see this as a good thing, others not so much. I spend too much of my time watching, listening, reading, and shitting the daily headlines. I feel the need to purge.
The Senate
Where should I start? I was going to start with the crazy bat shit insane one, but alas that competition was too close to call. Should I start with the one that believes abortion should be illegal, even in the cases of rape and incest? Or maybe the one that thinks gay people are immoral? Maybe I should start with the racist one? Or maybe I could start with the one that is so fucking uninformed that they think every policy or idea from a Democrat is somehow magically unconstitutional? Maybe I could start with the one who believes that gay rights advocates are to blame for the recent epidemic of gay suicides? The one who thinks we should privatize Social Security (that would have worked out so well over the last few years)? Oops, I am a dumbass, they all believe these things. So in no particular order, I give you the GOP candidates for Senate.
What happens when you put Glenn Beck’s jizz, elephant taint, and a little Pixie dust in a Petri dish?
Christine O'Donnell.
Sometimes I actually feel kind of bad for everyone’s favorite witch. She just seems to be in way over her head. The GOP saw a mini Sarah Palin and could not wait to get her on TV. This poor woman believes that masturbation leads to deviant sexual behavior. Even Sabrina the Teenage Witch knows how masturbation worked out so well for all of those altar boys. She has stated that cloning has already led to human- mice hybrids. At least the mice will be much better at mazes. She doesn’t think that the separation of church and state is in the Constitution. Yes I know the exact phrase “church and state” is written verbatim, but it is really fucking clear what the 1st amendment was stating. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”. Seems pretty damn clear to me and every other mother fucker who has ever read the Constitution.
Marco Fucking Rubio.
This would class douche bag actually thinks that we should deport children of illegal immigrants to the country their parents were born in. Never mind the fact that these children most times have never been to that country. He believes that we should “privatize” Social Security. As we all know, it would be a great idea if we took grandpa’s only source of income and put it in the stock market. Hopefully your elderly relatives died in 2006 before the stock market crashed.
Joe “I make Sarah Palin look moderate” Miller.
For starters, he thinks everything is unconstitutional. Unemployment benefits, yet it is cool when your wife takes them. Minimum wage, I can only imagine how easy it would be to pay the bills on less than $7.25 per hour. Everyone that works for minimum wage is rolling in cash. Hate crime laws. What a fucking dick. He wants to shut down the Department of Education. I guess I can see the logic in this. There seems to be a direct correlation between lack of education, and the ability to think that the Tea party makes sense.
There is so much more to get into with these Grade A dumb fucks, but I need to go read something.

START Treaty
A little background.

The START Treaty (for STrategic Arms Reduction Treaty) was first proposed by Ronald Reagan, and signed in 1991 by President George HW Bush. It resulted in the US and Russia eliminating 80% of their nuclear weapons over the life of the treaty.

Fast forward to now…

The new START treaty was signed in Prague on April 8, 2010 by Presidents Barack Obama and Dmitry Medvedev. Sounds great right? Not so fast, all treaties that the US signs onto must be ratified by the US Senate. START I was ratified in 1991 in the Senate 93-6. Seems like a no brainer that the new treaty would pass pretty easily. Currently we have a few (lots) of GOP senators who are hell bent on making sure that President Obama doesn’t do anything that could be considered good. Enter Congressman Jon Kyl of Arizona. He repeatedly has delayed the ratification of the START treaty. Why? Originally he stated that ratifying before the elections would “politicize” the treaty. Now that the election is over, it seems like a no brainer that the treaty would be ratified. Damn, acoording to Sen. Kyl there is not enough time to get it done before the new congress is sworn in. Oddly enough, the new congress is a little redder in 2010. What are the odds the GOP will claim that the START treaty was a great accomplishment if theirs?

Worst President Ever?
Of course she was driving an Escalade
I noticed this bumper sticker on a SUV on my way to work the other day. I don’t doubt that right wing nut jobs believe everything that they are told by their nut job leaders, but “Worst President Ever” seems pretty strong.
Just a quick rundown of a few presidents that I am pretty sure were MUCH worse than Barack Obama will ever be.

William Harrison
He was president for all of 30 days after contracting pneumonia during his inaugural. Seriously, this guy accomplished jack shit.

Warren G. Harding
He was an ineffectual and indecisive leader who played poker while his friends plundered the U.S. treasury. No joke, he really played poker while his friends took money from the U.S. treasury.

Richard Nixon
Do I really need to explain this one?

Herbert Hoover
He actually started the Great Depression. He ushered in the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act that created a trade war at the worst possible time and helped lock the Depression in place.

James Buchanan
Look up Dred Scott vs Sandford. This Supreme Court ruling was made by Buchanan’s buddy
Chief Justice Roger Taney. Buchanan was pretty proud of further expanding slavery, It actually was his the basis for his whole campaign.

Andrew Jackson
The only know president to openly defy a supreme court ruling. The ruling Worcester v. Georgia was openly ignored. Jackson stated “ John Marshall has made his decision. Now let him enforce it!"

Andrew Johnson
"This is a country for white men, and by God, as long as I am President, it shall be a government for white men."
-- Andrew Johnson, 1866
Need I say more?

Woodrow Wilson
The Sedition Act. This masterpiece allowed for the arrest and jailing of American citizens who disagreed with the government. The Palmer Raids were ordered by President Wilson to arrest and attempt to illegally deport over 10,000 people.

Did I mention slavery?

The Pope…

The Pope recently stated that condoms were ok to use! That is great! Now we can slow down the amount of unwanted pregnancies! We can slow down the spread of HIV/AIDS in Africa! We can lessen the amount of abortions due to less unwanted pregnancies! Oops, my bad, he said they were only ok for use by gay prostitutes. What a fucked up morality this guy has. He did not specify if you were allowed to use condoms if you are priest banging your favorite altar boy.
